Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal are set to tie the knot this year and the buzz about their impending wedding reached its peak after the families met at Natasha’s suburban residence. Addressing the rumours about his engagement, Varun had clarified on social media, “Hey guys before you let your imagination run wild it was a birthday party. Wanted to clarify before any false news is spread cheers.” Apparently it was Natasha’s father, Raju Dalal’s birthday.

Spilling the beans about the much talked about bash, Varun’s uncle Anil Dhawan told Mumbai Mirror, We hadn’t met each other in a long time and we don’t know each other well. So, they invited us over for dinner. It was a birthday party, but they wanted the families to meet as well, as everyone is busy with their respective lives.” Rumours are rife that Varun and Natasha are planning to get married in May or June wedding, however Anil Dhawan stated that the couple has not finalized anything, he said“No date or month has been fixed yet. It will be announced whenever it happens.” But Varun’s uncle assured that they all want the nuptials to happen in 2020, “Hona toh chahiye. It’s high time Varun got married. We all want it (to happen).”

The entire Dhawan family visited Natasha’s residence on Wednesday, also snapped at the soiree were Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra and Punit Malhotra. The guests were snapped with pink goodie bags which bore a message that read, “Thank you for being here today! Looking forward to celebrate with you.” This lead to speculations that the families had met for a hush-hush engagement before Varun and Natasha take the vows at a destination wedding.
